DIY: Felted Fox Purse

Hello all, it's been a busy week!  So 'cute purse knitting pattern'?  Yes Please!

I've been sent 90mins travel away from my housey and am living in accommodation on placement, and I'm missing my house!  There's just no joy in a deskspace which isn't surrounded by wool and fabrics and ribbons!

So people have been chatting to me lots about the felted fox bag, and apparently people would like a teeny version to carry round in their purse.  So...

ISNT HE CUTE??
I have now made myself two, all to myself, because they are simply too cute.  I will genuinely be sad to package them up and send them away to their loving new homes :(

Made with rowan creative focus worsted (there just is not a better foxy wool colour out there), and some stripey cotton from my lovely craft shelf.

Here are more pictures, because he is awesome.

If you're feeling crafty, why not make him yourself?! You can buy now, or visit me at ravelry or etsy.

If you feel a little stuck at all, comment below or join us on the OwlPrintPanda discussion boards on Ravelry?

-> If you don't feel up to making the little guy, why not buy the cute little critter in my etsy store.  He has a Badger friend too!

My home will be filled with fluffy little purses I can't bring myself to post away before long!

Have you made a little purse?  Care to share?  What will you be up to this weekend?

Amanda :)

  1. That's brilliant! When I get some time I'll have to whip one up. Looking forward to seeing who his friends are! x

    1. :D they are so much fun to make, just so quick! I know patience is a virtue, but sometimes a quick knit is brilliantly satisfying.

  2. Such an adorable model! I worked with leftover, mismatched yarn and whatever buttons I had lying about, so in the end it turned into an owl. But my man had FINALLY asked me for something I could knit for him (there are so frustratingly few things you can knit/crochet for a man!) and this works perfectly as a coin purse. Easy to open/close, light, just small enough, and the coins don't fall out even if there's no zip on the inside. Thanks for it!

  3. It IS cute, thanks to you! I put up some photos of it on my Ravelry account (look for Horia). I later moved one eye for the sake of symmetry, but its rightful owner now has it in his pocket, stuffed with coins, and won't give it back even for the time it takes to take a photo! :))
